Efficient project management with robust data tracking and an easy setup
When I have too many elements or items in a project, it becomes cumbersome, especially during printing. Non-technical users do not need all the data, so it's primarily for technical personnel. Without guidance, it's challenging to use the app. With guidance and expert knowledge, it becomes manageable, however, it's not for non-technical teams. The worst part is handling too many items, like 1,000 items, which Microsoft Project struggles with, especially when printing. Printing on A3 size is quite burdensome, so I prefer viewing it on a tablet or computer. On a tablet or phone, I can see the full project elements depending on the screen size.

Effective project coordination bridges field and office with real-time updates
It helps with project management. All the drawings and any changes to the drawings are uploaded to ensure that my team is looking at the most current versions. There is also reporting, allowing for the creation of reports in the field, including pictures and safety reports. You name it The…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a scalable product, especially the online version."
"They have begun to improve with the new cloud integration."
"This tool is the most accurate project management tool, allowing me to run a full set of project activities without having to switch between different tools for scheduling and other tasks."
"The solution is stable."
"The most valuable features are in the successor and predecessor determination and the tracking tools, such as obtaining data on the S curve financial curve."
"The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that the product's GUI is very good...The product's scalability is good."
"The solution is very complete. It makes it a great option for project managers and they can use it extensively in almost any organizational setup."
"Microsoft Project's integrated timeline is tied to the project plan almost seamlessly, and you add whatever action item or milestone you choose. All you have to do is set up a column and click on the timeline. It will automatically put it in there and allow you to choose the type, whether it's a bar or if it's a milestone, just pointing out that single milestone"
"Other companies have been using it for years, and it is a very stable platform."
"The coordination between the field and the office without the need to print or physically transport drawings is very valuable."
"The financial side of Procore Project Management is better."

Cons

"There are a few bugs that can affect the stability. This is typical of most applications."
"Project is not easy to scale. It isn't a cloud-based solution where everybody can utilize it at the same time without version issues when you save your file. We use it at the enterprise level, but you have to share the files to others within your organization through Teams or SharePoint. One improvement would be to transition to cloud-based functionality. However, that might limit the functionality in other ways."
"When you start getting into the more advanced features, it can become unstable. The more you use the advanced features, the more exposure you have to an unanticipated result. I think we need to add the Kanban Board capability to the product that would help them advance that board into the project management methodology that's being used in the industry today. Being able to depend on Scrum management is key."
"There needs to be better integration with other Microsoft products such as SharePoint, and the like."
"The dashboard could be improved."
"I would like to see both Time and Team based options improved."
"I would like to have more access to templates and tools that could be used to teach project management best practices."
"We'd like the solution to have better integration with other third-party and open-source solutions."
"It takes time to use it. It is not entirely intuitive, so there are areas for improvement."
"It would be nice if the tool can reduce its operational cost. It would make it more competitive."
"It is not entirely intuitive, so there are areas for improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Microsoft Project is an expensive solution."
"You only need a Team's license in order to use Microsoft Project within Teams, which is very helpful."
"Its price could be reduced a little."
"The license fees for the professional version, which is estimated to be approximately $1,600, and the standard version, which is approximately $1,200, may be considered expensive by some users. This is something that could be improved to make the platform more accessible to a wider audience."
"We purchase perpetual licenses due to the high cost of subscriptions, which are about 1,000 Australian dollars."
"I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"The cost for an on-premises-based license is a one-time fee, and the cloud-based is an annual payment plan."
"Licensing costs vary depending on the user volume. The pricing is good, I'd rate it four out of five."
"The tool is cheap and I would rate it a ten out of ten."
